[...] Via Chris F. Masse, there’s a new blog you should subscribe to, Overcoming Bias. Robin Hanson is blogging there and I’m equally excited to see Hal Finney blogging as well. I previously called Finney a great signal-to-noise enhancer (search to find his thousands of excellent mailing list contributions). [...]

[...] This year Gordon Mohr had the devious idea to do preemtive reviews of CodeCon presentations. I’ll probably link to his entries and have less to say here than last year. [...]

Right, but you have to tag at the point in time you wish to reproduce. You may not know you'll want to reproduce the tree at that time in advance, no? If only I knew I was going to completely screw things up, I would've tagged beforehard. But with that foreknowledge I wouldn't have screwed things up.

<blockquote cite="I’d pretty much settled on using Darcs going forward, but now I’m a little concerned by its reordering of patches in order to solve merge conflicts, which apparently can be very slow and may make the repository’s view of its state at a point in time inaccurate."></blockquote>

[Hmm.. It's not clear if there is a preview function. We'll see if this works. ]

I believe when use 'darcs tag', It has exactly the function of allowing you to reproduce a tree at a particular point in time.
